Why did you start your blog:
My wife and I have had some rough bumps on the journey of parenthood. If I were a musician, I’d probably have written a song. If I were an artist, I’d have painted. But I’m a digital journalist, so I blog. It’s very important to me to share a dad’s perspective on raising children. There are several awesome parenting blogs in Connecticut. I hope my dad blog adds to the conversation.
How long have you been blogging:
I have been blogging at CTdad for about a month.
What do you blog about:
My wife and I have a 2-year-old son. I share the daily minutia of just getting out the door along with the big stuff of miscarriages and early child development. I sometimes draw on the thoughts and news of other Connecticut bloggers to inspire my posts. Too often, dads are thought of as some sort of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ lunk-head who acts like a child himself. That’s not who I am, and it’s not how most of the dads I know are. CTdad offers a father’s take on raising a child in Connecticut.
