Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, November 4, at 2:00 AM so before going to bed on Saturday remember to set your clocks back 1 hour.
It’s pretty easy to remember if you think – SPRING AHEAD – FALL BACK – when knowing whether to set your time ahead or back. Since it’s October we move it back one hour. That is why it gets dark earlier!
Why do we have Daylight Savings Time?
During World War II, Daylight Saving Time was imposed to save fuel. Since then, Daylight Saving Time has been used on and off, with different start and end dates. Currently, Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday of March and ends at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November.
Adding daylight to evenings benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours but can cause problems for evening entertainment and other occupations tied to the sun. Source Wikipedia
