Chowderfest at Old Mystic Village February 25

Update: The winner of the People’s Choice Award for the Mystic “Cabin Fever” Chowderfest was Octagon Restaurant at Mystic Marriott in Groton. People’s choice second place was The Fisherman Restaurant in Noank and third place went to Casa Della Luce, of Westerly. The event raised around $12,000 for the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center Emergency Food Pantry.

If you love chowder and what to give your opinion on which one is the best in Southeastern Connecticut, and more specifically, Mystic, Connecticut, come to the 9th Annual Cabin Fever & Chowder Cook Off on Saturday, February 25th.

There will be 27 different types of chowder to taste and three prizes given out to the winner. The public will vote and choose the winners. There are another three prizes chosen by the celebrity judges.

There will also be demonstrations and entertainment throughout the day.

Time: 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm ET

Tickets are $1 per 3 oz cup of Chowder, 7 tickets for $5 and 15 tickets for $10.
