Olive Garden is one of our favorite chain restaurants so when they advertised the 3-course dinner we had to go and check it out. We took along our neighbors and friends, Heather and Bryan. Three of us ordered from the new menu.
You will find Olive Garden restaurants all over Connecticut. Find one near you.
What is included in the Olive Garden 3-Course Dinner:
- Soup/Salad – unlimited
- Breadsticks – unlimited
- Entree from the special menu – 5 choices
- Dessert from the special menu – 5 choices
As usual you have the choice of salad or 1 of 4 great soups. One thing you might not know that we found out is, you can order your salad the way you like it. Don’t like onions or olives, ask them to leave it off. Want more salad dressing? Ask for extra.
With this special menu you have a choice of 5 entrees: Smoked Mozzarella Chicken, Asiago and Roasted Garlic Tortelloni with Grilled Sausage, Five Cheese Marinara Penne with Shrimp, Creamy Parmesan Portobello Mushroom Fettuccine, or Spaghetti with Four Cheese Meat Sauce.

I got the Smoked Mozzarella Chicken without peppers. What you see in red are Sun-dried tomatoes. It was very good. I don’t like things that say “smoked” in the title but I didn’t think this really came off as smoked. The chicken was lightly breaded and grilled I think.

Greg got the Asiago and Roasted Garlic Tortelloni with Grilled Sausage

Heather had the Five Cheese Marinara Penne with Shrimp
For dessert you have a choice of 5 sweet treats: Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Cream Cake, Limoncello Mousse, Dark Chocolate Cake, and Amaretto Tiramisu. The desserts are small and you can eat them in about 6 bites but I think they are the perfect size after a big meal.

I think these new Olive Garden 3-course dinner choices are perfect because for $12.95 you get a lot of food and of course, there is nothing quite like an Olive Garden meal – delish!
